10/24/25 - really fun EP!! very short but very cutesy!! very twee, i love the guitarwork on this one. the vocals are so soothing to the brain too! really needed this one actually. this was a really fun listen! also very cute cover
10/24/25 - to tell you the truth, i dont think we are getting music like this ever again. you could try to replicate it but that feeling of the late 2000s filled with lens flares and flash photography and actually moving in the club wont ever be brought back to the norm. this is such a product of its era in the best way possible. its sensual, groovy, sexy, poppy, you'll never hear anything like it now. just the drums in Gimme More will send you back 16 years.
10/24/25 - nina simone's vocals is one of the smoothest i've ever listened to, and this album does not hold back in her vocals at all! its such an amazing listen throughout, and its so powerful. "Sinnerman" being one of the best album closers ever. mixing blues, gospel, jazz to such a soulful result, and it was powerful to hear so much soul, its like nina's vocals go throughout your body to full-on give you the push to keep going in whatever hardship you're facing.

10/23/25 - my first entry for this log will be my current album of the year as of now. i've been a good fan of Geese for quite a while now. i discovered Cameron Winter's solo work last year, then i delved into 3D Country and it quickly became one of my favorite albums ever. now with this, its slowly creeping into a new favorite. its so refreshing and so fun, very rock and roll with this twist of something only my generation can offer. one of a kind album made by a one of a kind band that will definitely be one of the next greats ever.

Longlegs (2023) - dir. Osgood Perkins
10/22/25 - really cozy watch for some reason, and this grounded supernatural thing this movie had going on was so good!! also that opening is great and nicholas cage is very nicholas cage here.

Good Morning (1959) - dir. Yasujiro Ozu
10/19/25 - this is my first ozu film! holy SHIT these colors pop so much, i was so in love with the wardrobe of these kids and i cannot believe these kids dress better than me in 2025. i also love how pure it is, the farting and the silence game between the two siblings made me smile so much. this movie is so simple and i cannot believe this was made in 1959.

Kafka on the Shore - Haruki Murakami
10/19/25 - one of the most batshit and morbidly beautiful books i have ever read, murakami's writing dosent work sometimes but in the characters he writes in a work like this, it works so well. its some of the most beautifully written grotesque shit ever at times, while also bringing up many themes of adolescence, growing up, being your own self and things like that. i think what drew me in more was the titular song. i searched up multiple remakes of the song described online and it never fails to make me emotional.
